Lessons learned

What to expect: Insight
What to watch out for: Losing perspective
What will it affect? Communication, ego/soul growth

The first couple of days of November, between the 1st and 3rd, we are tapped into the collective consciousness. All the world’s a classroom and we all have lessons to learn. In those lessons we can find inspiration, intuitive guidance and vision for the future, but we have to listen. The problem is that lessons spring to the surface and then quickly submerge again. To add to it, November 2nd is a bit of an awkward day. We have a need for freedom and expressing ourselves, but we may feel that we are unable to. This results in frustration and leads us to search for fulfillment through others, such as our children. There may be a tendency to be a bit manipulative, but if we approach things honestly, it is also a good time to research, investigate and get to the heart of things. The beauty of this transit it that we are not just learning, we are becoming wise… and in the words of Confucius “By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.” Now we have the opportunity to learn by reflection… The trick of getting those lessons to stay on the surface and gel is to journal…My advice. Get a beautiful book with quality paper and write it out with intentionality…..Journal, journal, journal.

Wonder Twin Power – Activate!

What to expect: dynamic duos
What to watch out for: doubting unlikely combo’s
What will it affect? Relationships, money, healing

The days from Nov 3 – 4th are good for planning your relationships. If you are business planning, you can connect with your business partner, collaborate and come up with a strategy for forward movement. It’s also a time when we will become acquainted with other’s values, beliefs and perspectives. It might come up unexpectedly and you may also discover that your philosophies do not jive. On the other hand, you may discover that even though you have divergent philosophies, an opportunity exists to blend them for projects and for monetary investments. What emerge now are the opportunities to find common ground and hybrid solutions. The trick is not to force it. If something doesn’t work, it doesn’t work. If something works that seemingly shouldn’t, don’t pull it apart because of your doubts.

Out of Context

What to expect: Misunderstandings
What to watch out for: Stubbornness
What will it affect? Thoughts, relationships, early wounds, patterns of thought

From Nov 5 -6 we may miscalculate the impact of our words. Something might be said or we may hear something that we take completely wrong or out of context. The chances are high that we will also get very fixed in whatever we thought we heard or whatever we intended to say. On the same day Juno, the partnership asteroid, will move into Sagittarius, empowering our need to have other agree with us or see things our way. Flexibility of thought, what you thought you heard or what you thought you said is the key. Get out the journal again. This can really help in getting to the heart of matters and to getting your emotions out of the way before you speak your words.

Doing it Together

What to expect: Team Work
What to watch out for: Team Activities
What will it affect? Relationships

Our spirits soar on Nov 7th, but only if we engage in activities that feed our sense of adventure. Time spent with partners is best focused on activities that challenge personal boundaries. Experiences like the Amazing Race, or doubles tennis, where you need to work as a team to win, help to bring about transformation within our personality. They lead us to a period of inner growth and development.

What to expect: Innovative Ideas
What to watch out for: Doubting
What will it affect? Business, Money, Innovation

On Nov 8th Mars enters into Aquarius and stays there until the middle of December. This is a time when we are motivated by change and progress. By the 11th Venus will move into Capricorn, shifting our focus towards achievement, business acquisition and collaborations that are focused on securing position or status, but also gel in vision and philosophy. Can we be humanitarian and still make money? The answer is yes and new social entrepreneurship models and solutions, likely involving social media, may emerge at this time.

Discovering our Limits

What to expect: Personal Contradictions
What to watch out for: Personal truths
What will it affect? Ego, Beliefs, Wounds

We may be faced with discrepancies or contradictions within ourselves on Nov 12th. How much do we alter ourselves in the attempt to try to discover ourselves? How far must we go outside of our patterns to see, let alone comprehend, our patterns? How much do we alter ourselves in trying to be what others – relationships, work, and social networks – want or need us to be? We have access to energy that taps into truths at this time and helps us come to conclusions that define where our boundaries lie. An exploration of philosophical, legal or religious doctrine can help to define who we are to ourselves.

Full Moon in Taurus

What to expect: High expectations
What to watch out for: Disappointment
What will it affect? Relationships, commitments

On Nov 14th the full moon is in Taurus. This Full Moon sits in a jewel shop with the most magnificent jewels…. well at least according to the sabian symbol for the degree this Full Moon sits on. The problem is that the full moon is also square to Pallas in Aquarius. Promises made at this time seem attractive, but may lead to disappointment. On the same day Mercury is conjunct with the marriage asteroid Juno, both of which are in the bachelorette sign of Sagittarius. It’s not that we are unable to commit, but that we need more than ever to bond through our shared beliefs, shared philosophies and shared need for freedom. Strangely enough we may share the same need, but arrive at very different ideas of what that looks like. The good news is that we won’t waste much time in making a final decision. We are decisive and quick to make our assessments and move on to the next. If it’s not right, it’s not right.

Avoid Decisions

What to expect: False information
What to watch out for: Missing details
What will it affect? Communications, contracts

Nov 17th and 18th communication can be tricky. It’s also a pivotal time for decision making. However, communications are likely to be riddled with missing, misleading or outright false information. It will be important not to take anything at face value. Verify terms and conditions, repeating back and checking on what was said and what was understood, and checking for what was intentionally not said will all be useful strategies at this time.

These couple of days are best to avoid big business transactions or agreement.

Suspending our Disbelief

What to expect: Overlooking things
What to watch out for: Blinders
What will it affect? Relationships, Money, Direction

Neptune goes direct on Nov 19th. When in direct motion, Neptune once again suspends our disbelief. We are swept yet again into fantasy, action, feats of bravery, we are asked to gloss over facts, excuse inconvenient truths, and be selective in our attention. In truth… ignorance is sometimes bliss. And we may wholehearted need a break from reality. Reality, as they say, sucks! Neptune turns on its heels and heads back in a direct motion, blowing kisses to Venus. Venus has just finished getting her bearings from the North Node and so knows just how to react and respond. If you’re wondering where she got the answer… and where you might too, go back in your journal and check what you wrote at the beginning of the month. Even if you are glossing over reality, at least it’s in service of moving forward. Maybe you decide to overlook someone’s minor flaws. The trick to knowing if it’s right, even though it’s wrong, is listening to and following your heart. And in the words of Selena Gomez, the heart wants what it wants.

The Truth of Others

What to expect: Opposing beliefs
What to watch out for: Common ground
What will it affect? Relationships, projects

The sun moves into Sagittarius on Nov 21. All year we have been questioning our beliefs and are surprised to discover what others really think. Being forced to make a stand for what we believe has brought to the surface for all to see who we really are. As long as we’ve been able to keep things on the surface, we have been able to maintain friendship, but finding out someone is a trump supporter, a Brexit supporter, a Dakota Rock supporter, a black lives matter supporter or the opposite has caused some friendships and associations to prune. The problem is that we have not been willing to listen to each other. However, at this time we have the opportunity to join together with others, express our passions and learn with tolerance and acceptance. Though we may be very opinionated and direct with our ideas, we are open to finding common ground. The most productive groups are those that have a change agent visionary and a naysayer skeptic who is willing to challenge popular ideas. Right now we are blessed to have both. One that is able to envision a way to nurture change with innovation and actionable, impactful steps and the other, with Mercury conjunct with Saturn on the 23rd , helping us to be realistic, concentrated in our efforts, and sure that we are not making mistakes or wasting our time. The trick to maximizing this energy is to blending the energies and look for the best in both.

Balancing Large Structures

What to expect: Need for change
What to watch out for: Power struggles
What will it affect? Government, Large institutions, Status Quo

On Nov 24/25th Venus will Conjunct Pluto and the two will square Jupiter. Jupiter is in Libra right now, striving for balance. One thing that is often overlooked about Libra is just how far it will go to achieve what it sees as balance. Money will be a huge focus right now. Who has the money, how are they using it and how does balance need to be restored? There is an opportunity right now to transform large institutions, Governments, old patriarchal structures and structures that have maintained the status quo. Problems related to overconfidence and power struggles may arise. Those who hold the power don’t want to give it up. Those striving for change will push harder. This is also a throwback to the Pluto Uranus square between 2011 and 2015. Where are we now? How far have we come? How much change has been achieved? And is it fair? We revisit the progress we’ve made, brush off the dust and get back to addressing the necessary push for change.

Unintended words

What to expect: Hurtful words
What to watch out for: Holding a grudge
What will it affect? Communication, nurturing, passions

On Nov 26th something gets said that opens a wide a wound. As we hear it, we may suddenly be paralyzed by our thoughts, or we may dig our heels in and refuse to budge. It seems that what comes up is a huge incongruence within us between spirituality and belief. Are we as broadminded as we thought? With a willingness to face our wounds added to a strong ability to nurture with just the right words, we are able to move through to other side. We may think we need something and are suddenly surprised that we don’t and that what we need is actually very different to what we thought. What we find is sudden access into a new world that truly nurtures us.

Nov 28 – Dec 4th

New Moon at 7°Sg42′

What to expect: Proposals
What to watch out for: Something missing
What will it affect? Relationships, money

The New Moon on Nov 29th is in Sagittarius. The New Moon conjuncts Juno, the asteroid associated with marriage. With a New Moon in Sagittarius, we have relationships that allow for a lot of freedom of movement and thought. Its a marriage that needs agreement in belief and direction, otherwise we may find our projects or processes opposed or resisted. By the same token, Venus will sextile Chiron and square Uranus, making the need for freedom and the likelihood of painful interactions likely. This is not just with personal relationships, but also business partnerships. We need a whole different approach to our personal interactions and this new moon will give us the opportunity to search for and make intentions for new and innovative partnerships. What we believe about relationships comes into question and is challenged. We have the willingness to move in a new direction. We are inspired by possibilities, and confused by options. We first need to figure out the new ways of meeting our own independence needs with our need to achieve and have stability. Sometimes we think we need a partner for this…. and this is exactly what comes into question.

First Week – Oct 1 – 9th
All that remains

What to expect: A culmination
What to watch out for: Disappointment
What will it affect? Perceptions, relationships, money, past hurts, hopes and dreams

I once had a teacher who felt that disappointment was the worst of all negative emotions. It can stop you in your tracks and send you down the path of resentment, triggering our deepest fears and false beliefs. Out of disappointment we may lose hope, desert a plan and give up, feeling certain that goodness is not meant for us. On October 1-3rd we have a rare opportunity to look past disappointment Our worlds may be shaken. Catastrophe may have taken hold. But we can peer into disappointment and glimpse the wisdom of Japanese poet and samurai Misuta Masahide: “My barn, having burned to the ground, I can now see the moon.” Though mercury is in a difficult position with Chiron bringing up past hurts and making it difficult to let things go, Venus, Neptune and the north node help us to see past the smolder, inspiring us with the beauty of all that remains. Sometimes what remains is far more precious than what was standing in front of us.

Balancing Ambition and Relationship

What to expect: Getting lots done
What to watch out for: Other feeling ignored
What will it affect? Communication, passions and goals, relationships

October 4th is a good day to put your head down and get to work. We’ll have the support of the planets for disciplined and concentrated efforts. We’ll also feel a certain amount of passion and purpose in all that we do. However, our focus may get us in trouble with our partnerships. A conflict will definitely occur by Oct 5th. Even though we are thinking about our relationships and that all we do is for them, we feel at odds with our partners. We are thinking about the future but, at the moment, our inattentiveness will bring forth the insecurities in our relationships and jealousies may arise.

Why? Sun Sextile Transiting Saturn, Mercury Sextile Transiting Vesta, Pallas Square Transiting Juno

Prone to Mistakes

What to expect: Over optimism
What to watch out for: rash actions and decisions
What will it affect? Relationships, money, ambitions, beliefs

On Oct 5th stay away from unrealistic endeavours. This may be hard to do. There is a high level of optimism surrounding our ambitions, our beliefs about money and our ideas of fairness. Though we may be aiming for a sense of balance, we believe we can achieve more than is possible. There is something transformative that is pushing us over that edge. Our creativity is piqued and we want to transcend, and there just doesn’t seem to be any middle of the road path to it. So though we may feel like we are being cautious, our actions could still lead to disequilibrium. The caution is to remain open to error.

Why? Venus Sextile Pluto, Mars Square Jupiter

Getting Heard

What to expect: A need to get our point across
What to watch out for: Rudeness and interruptions
What will it affect? Communications, relationships, use of power

As mercury moves into Libra on Oct 7th, conversations move to relations. Love relations, business relations, relations centered on justice.
Have you ever had a conversation with someone where you felt compelled to cut them off and force your perspective? Though we are not sure why, at times we want to do this at all costs. We don’t let the other person finish their story, and often even being unaware that we are doing it. The problem is we have an over reaching desire to express who we are and the experiences we have had. We are conflicted with meeting our needs and with opening space for others to have their needs met. The best way to use this energy is to be aware of our urge to dominate, be open to interruptions and to make sure we are asserting ourselves on all sides. This is the best way to get our needs met and our ideas heard.

Second Week Oct 10 – 16

Lots of Spark

What to expect: Enjoyment
What to watch out for: Feeling like it feels too good
What will it affect? Relationships, communication, visions and dreams,

October 11th really hits the sweet spot. It’s like the initial spark of a relationship when both partners talk endlessly. The conversation delights, enlightens and builds the connection. This is because Mercury and Jupiter join up with each other in Libra, the relationship sign. But it gets better. Venus, the goddess of love, and Juno, the marriage asteroid, are compelled to collide. The merger will be dazzling. We want to share, merge, possess. We want to lose where we start and another ends. We want our joining with another to form a superpower. Together we can do anything. Together we build each other, ourselves and our resources. Scorpio is also the sign of shared resources and nothing makes a relationship feel more solid than the ability to build shared capital. Added to the mix is mars in the ambitious Capricorn sextile and Neptune in visionary Pisces. Hours will pass as though minutes with us dreaming, envisioning our lives and building plans to achieve those dreams.
I caution you. And for those who have read up on or experienced “Twin Flame” relationships, this is the kind of intensity that can scare us. There may even be tears or a catch in our throat as we share our feeling. There is also a possibility for a deep love or un-lovability wound to be healed. Dynamic duos are formed or re-formed at this time.

Need to Freely Explore

What to expect: Conflicting desires
What to watch out for: Possessiveness
What will it affect? Communication, nurturing needs, inner child

On October 12th we have the energy and motivation to get moving on whatever we have envisioned over the last couple of days. Partnership issues and conflicts may call for the need for reconciliation and to build the bridge for better relating. Though disagreements are likely, we have a stern but fair approach with mercury in Libra squaring mars in Capricorn. We are not perfect, and our ability to hear and remain open to grievances will go far to deepen our relationships. By the 13th we start to feel the need for freedom. Like a child exploring the world, we want to remain close, but not helmed in. Allowing for this freedom fills a deep need, but also allows for growth.

What will it affect? Relationships, independence needs, innovation

The Aries full moon blows our minds wide open and sends us on an expedition of who we are and how we relate to others. On one hand our minds open to the varied perspectives. We delight in the shades of grey, the abstraction of thought, the mind bending possibilities. We are unafraid and unfettered as we plow into new terrain. Exploring and leaving behind the safety of the values we once knew, the beliefs we held dear and all that we thought we wanted. On the other hand we feel moved to defend our freedoms. We feel adamant – fiercely passionate that we can find our own way. However, manipulations and power tactics will not be taken lightly.

Third Week – Oct 17 – 23

Wanderlust!

What to expect: A desire to travel
What to watch out for: testing our limits
What will it affect? Relationships, fun and challenge, mind expansion

By Oct 18th a pattern starts will emerge and positive thoughts will gain ground. As Venus moves into Sagittarius we open to expanding ideals. We are ready to learn and adventure brings us into alignment with our values. In fact we may be a little excessive in our need for excitement and adventure – adventure hems on extremes. With Mars meeting up with Pluto on Oct 19th, we have a need to summit Mount Everest or conquer the Alaskan wild. We sit perched on a dangerous mountain with loose rocks, thin air and inclement weather off in the distance. Or, isolated in the wild with only berries, our survival skills and the agreement of nature, we stand resolved. We know that others have perished on this journey, but somehow we need this. We get pleasure from it. We challenge ourselves beyond our limits and are transformed, one way or another.

Racing Thoughts

What to expect: Realizations
What to watch out for: Insecurities
What will it affect? Relationships, nurturance needs, our ego’s

It’s best to get a journal and write out your thoughts by Oct 20th. Our minds may be racing so fast that the use of point form, acronyms, texts, or some form of short hand may be needed. Right now we are challenged to evolve our definition of relationships. We’re grappling with many realizations, many of which are centred on how we connect and bond with others. Just what are our needs? How do we get close without feeling smothered? At this time we are likely to go into a childlike processing method. We may feel that the only way we can maintain a sense of self with others is if we view others as an extension of ourselves. Yet this isn’t fair. We have a resistance to our own needs in a new world. We rebel inside wanting our freedom, but also wanting our “baby blankie”. This is a time when we will be challenged to “grow-up.”

Practicing the “ask”

What to expect: awareness of our needs
What to watch out for: thinking other can mind read
What will it affect? Relationships, communication, nurturance needs

On Oct 22, the sun moves into Scorpio, moving us into a deeper examination of the unknown. Many of us have become uncomfortable with not knowing and are motivated to seek answers through investigation and analysis. Through this examination we may become aware of a need that we are comfortable with expressing. This also means we have a difficulty in asking others to meet that need. We feel embarrassed at having the need and if we are unpracticed in asking, may create conflict or strike up a fight in order to ‘make others responsible’ for knowing what we need. The best way to approach this energy is, as I always say, to spend time in reflection and to get clear about your discomfort. Once clarified, practice ways of moving through it in a fair manner in order to ask for what you need.

Prone to Dishonesty

What to expect: suspicions
What to watch out for: dishonesty
What will it affect? Relationships, business, communication

The days between Oct 24 and 25th it will be hard to trust anyone! Communications take on an intense and suspicious nature when Mercury moves into Scorpio. We might get obsessed or hung up on a particular word that was used and spend way too much time analyzing exactly what was meant! The problem is, there really is a tendency for dishonesty at this time. We are not imagining it! We are not getting all of the information and this makes it difficult to make solid decisions. The other way this may play out is that we are slapped in the face with the truth. We uncover something we would rather just as well bury again. This is particularly so with relationships and in relation to money.

Why? Mercury Entering Scorpio, Mercury Square Vesta, Venus Square Transiting Neptune

Cautious Fun!

What to expect: having a good time
What to watch out for: not listening to your intuition
What will it affect? Money, business, pleasure

By Oct 26th we’ll feel as though we are turning a corner. The good thing is that we have an extremely favourably transit for having a good time. If you are planning to take a vacation, this is the week to do it! Venus will be in an extremely adventurous mood and, connecting with Jupiter in Libra, will feel like being social. It’s also a good time for an early Halloween party or any other type of social gathering.
A word of caution for those of us who may be thinking about mixing business and pleasure. Don’t! We may be having so much fun that we make agreements and deals that will not serve us later on. The problem is the timing will feel right. In many ways it is right. Things are becoming clearer. We are learning more. This is a great time to look at structures that we have established, proposals that have come to our desk, or any plans or projects that involve money. The focus needs to remain on the examination of viability. This is a good time for going through the numbers, the books and the budget. It’s a great time for running reports, getting the data and finding out the facts. Our concentration is good and we’ll be able to spot inconsistencies. We’ll also have a sense of practicality and will be able to be fair in our assessments of information. BUT, have you ever made a decision not knowing exactly why you are making it, knowing that it is wrong and even having all the information that tells you that you are making a mistake? On the 27th, even though we have the ability to accurately assess information, something gets in the way.

The problem with the energy at this time is that there may be something unsavory grounded in our self esteem that leads us astray. An internal saboteur. A gremlin that takes over the show, making us rash and impulsive, and prone to making decisions that may lead to big problems later on.

New Moon in Scorpio

What to expect: Connection to spirit and leadership
What to watch out for: avoiding character flaws
What will it affect? Leadership, connection to spirit, communication

The New Moon on Oct 30th is in Scorpio. The theme of this New Moon is transcendence and unconditional love and leadership. This New Moon asks you to deepen your connection to spirit, our connection to each other and for those who have mastery, to lead the way. What’s special about this New Moon is that it really does embody the career of the “light worker”. Set intentions to deepen even more. To stand as an example for others and to be humbled when we believe we are more than what we really are. Even if we stumble, embarrass ourselves, or get caught in a lie or apparent scandal, we are brought face to face with ourselves. And how we respond and move forward determines our “reward in heaven” and the example that we set for others. Even in our shame, we can still be leaders based on how we handle it.

The same goes for vacation. In North America, it’s the start of a long weekend and this energy is perfect for starting a vacation. Creative Genius

What to expect: Nurturing creativity.
What to watch out for: Thinking we are not creative.
What will it affect? Our foundations, ego expression, communication, and power.

The New Moon is in nurturing Cancer. This nurturing New Moon will have an added element of vision, creativity, and imagination. Art is not just Art, but rather a pattern of images that weave together sacred, intellectual, and emotional concepts, communicating to the world what cannot be said otherwise. Paintings infused with reiki and sacred messages for your soul’s development, like Noreen Kassam’s art , cosmic and sacred geometry like Ashley Delmastro, or the heart-inspired art of Shareen Loren who has a love series caste painted with energetic spells which has been known to bring in ‘the One.’
We all have the potential to set intentions for powerfully loving and nurturing creations. It doesn’t matter if you think you’re creative or not… we all have creative genius, whether it’s highly inspired let loose creativity or colouring a Mandela inside the lines of a colouring book.

The inspiration for this creative genius is likely to come as an antithesis to the inappropriate uses of power from the establishment, including the government, a large corporation, or even our fathers. Channel it into your own art or purchase something that inspires you!

What to expect: Sales.
What to watch out for: Not taking advantage of this amazing energy!
What will it affect? Communications, relationships, money, and business.

The days following the New Moon are excellent for business. On July 6th, the Sun will make contact with Mercury, helping us to be laser sharp in our negotiations. They are both in Cancer, so business that involves nurturing or property will fair best. Venus will also form a positive angle to Mars. We feel extremely passionate about what we’re selling and that causes a ripple effect. We’re excited! We get others excited. If you’re are starting a business or launching a product, this time gives it an extra boost as if what you’re selling is super magnetic.

Why? Conjunction Mercury and Venus trine Mars.

Express Yourself

What to expect: Stepping out.
What to watch out for: Paying any attention to haters.
What will it affect? Self esteem, direction, and communication.

On July 7th, we are stepping out unapologetically, saying what we feel and think and expressing our uniqueness. Though our voice is likely to be loving and encouraging, someone feels threatened. This is because the Sun and Mercury will be opposite Pluto. These two are also forming a nice angle to the North Node, the point that is much like the North Star, pointing us in the right direction. If you feel any negativity, take a page out of Amy Schummer’s book. She posted her very normal bathing suit pic with a note to internet trolls.

I meant to write “good morning trolls!” I hope you find some joy in your lives today in a human interaction and not just in writing unkind things to a stranger you’ve never met who triggers something in you that makes you feel powerless and alone. This is how I look. I feel happy. I think I look strong and healthy and also like Miss Trunchbull from Matilda. Kisses!

Healing Diversity

What to expect: Openness to differences.
What to watch out for: Not taking advantage of this amazing energy.
What will it affect? Beliefs, relationships, and communication.

Years ago I was on a trek with 11 women in Nepal. There was one of everything: we had Islamic, Jewish, Christian, Buddhist, and Mormon women present. One day at dinner we decided to compare what we all believed. No fights erupted. Many of our values were common to everyone, though some points were misunderstood or mis-perceived by other religions. No one tried to sway anyone to their way of thinking. It was just an open exchange. When Mercury and Jupiter connect on the 8th, we’ll have a similar opportunity. It is a great time to get together for leaning or teaching. Venus and Chiron also connect on the 8th , so the opportunity exists to heal some rifts, misunderstandings, and wounds.

Why? Venus trine Chiron and Mercury sextile Jupiter.

Building Confidence

What to expect: Sharpening our skills.
What to watch out for: Getting defensive.
What will it affect? Relationships, communication, and self presentation.

July 10th is another great day for learning and training. This time we can work on the technical aspects of our public relations, sales, or public speaking skills. Staging a mock setting with a live audience or potential customers will help you to understand the true feel of it. Comments and feedback will foster a tough love approach, but this will help to not only accelerate your learning but also boost your confidence.

Monkey Mind

What to expect: Difficulty focusing.
What to watch out for: Getting nothing done.
What will it affect? Thinking, communication, healing, and ideas.

On July 11th, many of us will experience monkey mind. Our minds go off in a million different directions and focus will be difficult. We are incredibly prone to having some stuff on our minds. Sometimes we need to pause, pull out our journals, or a piece of paper and jot down everything that keeps swimming around in our heads. Silencing the mind in mediation will also help. The potential exists to have flashes of insight and breakthroughs if we direct our minds.

Why? Mercury square Uranus and Mercury trine Chiron.

What work for YOU

What to expect: Conflict over the limelight.
What to watch out for: Worrying about how others see your solution.
What will it affect? Fun, leadership, risk, and children (including your inner child).

On July 12th, Venus moves into Leo and there is a bit of a conflict right from the very start. Venus in Leo loves to have fun, play, and take risks, but this comes into conflict with responsibilities so relationship inequalities could show their face. In personal relationships, we may be confronted with double standards. In business relationships, we may be confronted with conflicting roles or rules. How do we handle it when we both want the credit or we both want the praise? How do we both have fun and take care of our responsibilities?

Fortunately the opportunity exists for us to see into and redefine the roles using a unique standard. Decide what works for you, even if the world outside sees it as a little bizarre.

Why? Venus entering Leo, Venus square Juno, and Uranus sextile Vesta.

Letting Go

What to expect: a need To loosen the grip.
What to watch out for: Being a fun-buster.
What will it affect? Fun, leadership, risk, and children (including your inner child).

By July 13th, Mercury will follow Venus into Leo. Immediately another conflict emerges. This one focuses on our attachments. For parents, this may be may be the idea of letting your new teen go to the amusement park and get on all those crazy rollercoasters by themselves. For businesses, this could mean a challenge not to micro-manage your team – is standing by the water cooler helping or hindering their efficiency? It’s time to have confidence in your team, allowing them to show off their leadership, and to know that having fun is highly productive! There are no “shoulds” in your approach to this, but make sure you’re not projecting your own fears and blocking great potential.

The best approach is to have a thorough discussion. You may be making some assumption and, even if conflict arises, it is the way through to understanding.

Motivated to Achieve

What to expect: Feeling competitive.
What to watch out for: Unhealthy views of competition.
What will it affect? Motivation, self presentation, relationships, and money.

On July 16th we’ll go into business mode. Negotiations with contract, business agreements or financial agreements will all come to the fore. But our approach during this time might catch us off guard. Inside we are brewing with a need to break free from something. Maybe it’s our own internal barriers that have caused us to have upper limits, and we become clear about how we have been sabotaging our own success. Or we may feel pushed to our limit by something in our world that makes us make new departures into new and better paths or ways of doing things.

Between the 17th and 18th of July, the Sun, Mars and Chiron will dance in a grand trine, inspiring us further into action. The thing is we might feel a sting by a innocent comment made by someone or a little burn caused by witnessing someone else’s success. It’s not that anyone is trying to hurt us and we certainly don’t have ill will for others success, it’s just that we may feel we should have that by now, or “I’m just as good as he is!” And so it’s this little bit of a sting mixed with competition that stirs us into action, pushing us to prove that we can do it too!

Fourth Week

Full Moon in Capricorn

What to expect: An assessment
What to watch out for: being too hard on ourselves
What will it affect? Achievement and goals

The Full Moon on the 19th is in Capricorn. At this Full Moon we are assessing the implication of taking the Red pill or the Blue pill. But wait. What was the red pill for again? Does the Blue pill mean I live outside or inside the matrix? This is a time of updating our accounts, balancing the budget and running the reports of how we have lead our lives. But it’s not just our balance sheets that we are assessing, but also the impact on other areas of our lives that have been comprised to get there. High income may have meant long hours and low self care. Low income may be reflected in giving too much to our relationships and not enough to ourselves. Or vise versa. We have a critical eye and are able to pinpoint our mistakes. Things are coming to a culmination now and the culmination may be pointing to areas for growth.

Leaving ourselves or others out

What to expect: Rearing to have fun
What to watch out for: Comprising our health or relationships
What will it affect? Self expression, relationship, and nurturing needs.

The Sun moves into Leo on July 22nd and again, as we are about to express our leadership, fun /and creativity, we are challenged with a conflict. Are we compromising our diets? Do we go forth expressing ourselves and forget to pack a healthy snack, only to end up eating a quick chocolate bar or fast food burger? Do we need to incorporate more planned and preparedness into our ventures? Similarly we may have forgotten to include our partners only to experience jealousy or subtle sabotage. Finding ways for inclusion and sharing is the best approach.

What to watch out for: thinking your don’t have to pay them 🙂
What will it affect? Work, Family

Vesta moves into Cancer on July 25th and for a little while, we will really enjoy working at home or working together with family members. If you are thinking about hiring one of your children and relatives on summer vacation, this may be a time when it will actually be enjoyable. Make the most of this time as you teach them about what you do and help them to learn the ropes!

Why? Vesta in Cancer

Brainstorming & Idea Creation

What to expect: Lots of ideas.
What to watch out for: Talking over each other.
What will it affect? Ideas, Innovation, Creation.

On July 27th, we have an opportunity for brainstorming and having flashing of brilliance or insight. If you are looking for an idea creation day for you or your team, this is great energy to get you going.

Just remember the rules of the brainstorming game. Nobody gets to be wrong! No idea is stupid.

Use lots of sticky notes and take lots of notes. The days following your idea creation day will be great for organizing all of that data when Mercury goes into Virgo.

Why? Mercury Trine Uranus, Mercury square Mars, Mercury entering Virgo.

Relationship Review

What to expect: Opportunity to build a shared vision.
What to watch out for: Not taking the time.
What will it affect? Learning, relationships, and collaborations.

The last couple of days of July will be great for working together with your partner. Whether you’re in a business partnership or a relationship, you can use this energy to get on the same page and build a shared vision. Take note of the conflicts that have arisen throughout the month and use them to form your discussion. This strategy also holds true for your relationship to your children or others that you nurture (including your inner child). What can be learned, nurtured in terms of building a stable and secure sense of self.
