Horoscope: July 10 – 16, 2017

July 10 – 16

Work like you don’t need to Money!

What to expect: Enjoying work
What to watch out for: Opportunities to learn
What will it affect? Relationships, work, communication,

The planets go a little quiet this week. There is a noticeable lack of transiting aspects. This may be a much needed planetary reprieve, especially after the powerful Full Moon that we had over the weekend. Hopefully, you were too negatively impacted, but if you were, just know that this week we have a bit of a break. As the moon passes through Aquarius this week we can get objective about whatever we are feeling, maybe even checking in with our the opinions of our friends for their view. It turns a little emotional again as it moves through Pisces later in the week and by the weekend, the moon will land in a third quarter in Aries and we’ll be ready to move emotionally from whatever we have been processing!

Though it is quiet astrologically, we do have some excellent transits for work. On July 14th Uranus will trine Vesta in Leo. This brings out play fun and creativity in our work. We may have amazing breakthroughs as we allow ourselves to laugh and express ourselves through our work. It doesn’t need to be creative work. It can just be work that YOU enjoy. Mercury is also sextile Jupiter and so workshops, teaching, and learning are favoured.

With Jupiter in Libra making a sextile to Mercury in Leo, relationships or partnerships can also be worked on. Involve yourselves in some type of game where you will need to communicate and work together to win.

Many of you may be on vacation and this is not a bad time to go off on one. Vacations that engage your passions and feature learning will be a hit. For example, if you are an Astrology geek, your vacation might feature something like a trip to Egypt and a guided tour of Hathor Temple to check out the Dendera Zodiac. Passion + Learning + Travel = Fun

Why? Uranus Trine Transiting Vesta, Mercury Sextile Transiting Jupiter

Express Your Art!

What to expect: Artistic Expression
What to watch out for: Initial confusion
What will it affect? Relationships, money, communication

As the week starts we are dealing with something that needs healing in our money or relationship situation. At first, we may be overwhelmed and scattered. This is because Mercury will square Uranus. Mercury is in emotional Cancer and thoughts and emotions may get twisted into a tangled mess. Fortunately, Mercury will move into Leo on July 5th, and levity in our thoughts return

Also on July 5th, an optimistic and creative energy will also become available. Creativity expressed through the pen will be favoured. Go public with your penned novel, poem or speech as your words are likely to have an unexpected impact. Channel your past pains and the learning from those hurts to stir inspiration, tears or anger in words. Whatever emotion you stir, the potential is there to do so in a way that resonates with something in the collective.

Why? Venus Sextile Chiron, Mercury Trine Chiron, Sun Trine Neptune, Sun Square Jupiter, Uranus Sextile Ceres

Negotiations

What to expect: Business deals
What to watch out for: Know it all energy
What will it affect? Contracts, communication, ego’s, intuition

On July 7th we have some great energy for negotiating contracts, business and finance. If you are negotiating, its likely to be a fun marketing or learning venture. There are two energy patterns that may impact your decision making though. The first is that mercury is square Pallas. Mercury in Leo and in a tense energy pattern brings out her proud and know-it-all side. This will challenge Pallas’s grounded wisdom and common sense in Taurus. Ego’s may be hurt but just trust your intuition about what is right. Chiron is also square Ceres. This may bring up hurt feelings around communication. Maybe you feel silenced or someone else feels unheard. The best way to get through this negotiation is to embrace humility, listen to your intuition and listen to one another.

Why? Mercury Sextile Venus, Mercury Square Pallas, Chiron Square Ceres

Full Moon Capricorn

What to expect: Leadership opportunities
What to watch out for: Power plays
What will it affect? Big Business, governments, leadership, work

The full moon on July 8th is in Capricorn. It’s a powerful one! This will come to a head big time at this full moon. This is because the moon is in Capricorn and conjunct Pluto. A powerful transformation in all Capricorn areas, including government and big business, comes to some form of completion. There is likely to be abuses of power or inappropriate use of power. Vesta will meet up with the north node in Leo, focusing the energy on leadership at work or leadership in areas which we are passionate. The Sabian symbol for this Full Moon is “The Union Jack flies from a new British destroyer” is definitely a symbol that speaks of political power. When governments forge forward, what do they forge forward for? What is the worth of our governments? What is their danger? Those we are grasping for power will grasp harder. Those who are fearless in forging a new type of leadership will have the support of Vesta on the North Node.

Why? Full Moon, Vesta Conjunction North Node, Sun Opposition Pluto

Talking it out

What to expect: Challenging Conversations
What to watch out for: Manipulations
What will it affect? Communication, Relationships, partnerships, decisions, spirituality

This week starts with some difficult conversations. Mercury in Cancer fills us with an itching to talk about family, home, feelings, and needs. Topics can range from real estate to family drama to our childhood and its impact on us. It starts on June 26th when something starts to feel not right in our relationships. Mercury is opposite Juno the marriage asteroid, which is currently in Capricorn so we could be having conversations about the structure of our relationships. It helps if we have some prepared notes or questions. Here’s some ideas to get you thinking by Modern Love.

By the 27th as Mercury squares Jupiter in the relationship sign of Libra, opinions are strong and we express ourselves with over confidence. Mercury is also approaching a conjunction with Mars in Cancer, so we are likely to be very decisive. With these two in the water sign of Cancer, we are likely to make emotional rather than logical decisions. There is nothing wrong with emotional decisions. However emotional decisions are usually best made, and others are more receptive, if we come from a place of evolved emotional intelligence. The problem is that trust may be lacking and we may try to push our agenda as Mercury also opposes Pluto. The saving grace is that Mercury will also connect with the spiritual planet of Neptune, helping us to communicate with our intuition and with a higher power. Use the energy to seek guidance to find the right approach.

Feeling Good About It

What to expect: Self-nurturing decisions
What to watch out for: Divergent paths
What will it affect? Relationships, self-care, wounds

The first couple of days of July we become clear about who is on our path and supporting us and who is not. Paths may diverge at this time, but with Ceres making a sextile to the North Node, we achieve a certain amount of self-respect and self-care in stating our needs and moving forward. With or without others!

Why? Chiron retrograde, Venus Square North Node, Ceres Sextile North Node

Relationships Tests

What to expect: Conflict
What to watch out for: Learning the lesson
What will it affect? Relationships, partnerships, commitments

Pluto and Juno have been traveling together since May. When they were in close contact they were helping to transform our relationships and partnerships and helping us to clarify just what partnerships mean to us. Conflict and power struggles may have come up at that time. With these two in the karmic sign of Capricorn, we may have also clarified our karmic connections within our partnership. These two are now separating and as they do, Mars makes an opposition to Pluto and the Sun makes and opposition to Juno. Relationships are still on our radar, and our intentions and our integrity may be tested at this time. Did we really transform our relationships? Did we learn the karmic lessons? If we did, we may have established a new standard for our relationships and partnerships as a result. Our new approach to partnerships (both relationship and business), will likely now be challenged. As we step out to be ourselves we may have some opposition from the old school camp of partnerships. Saturn trine to Vesta will give us a sense of dedication to our goals, passions and new commitments. Perseverance to a new path, even in the face of obstacles and opposition is supported.
