Virgo Full Moon – March 18, 2022

Full Moon – March 18, 2022

The Full moon is at 27 degrees of Virgo. Habits, plans, and/or health issues come to a culmination.

The phrase “God helps those who help themselves” captures the integration of this culmination. While the sun is calling on us to trust and have faith, the moon is asking us to have a plan, build habits and pay attention to the details in order to get to our goals.

The moon is also conjunct the asteroid Aphrodite bringing in love and attractiveness to the full moon energy. Have our habits, plans, and approach to health helped or hindered our love and attractiveness? Perhaps its time to deal with the covid 19 (lbs) that we all put on. Did we maintain our habits and plans in the last couple of years? Or did everything completely fall apart? Now is the time to let go of bad habits that are no longer supporting you.

The Sabian symbol for the moon is A bald-headed man dominates gathering of national figures. The brings in a central figure who has an influence on all nations and causes us to zoom out from ourselves and focus on world activities. This central figure could be religious. In our world, it could also be the head of one of the world agencies, eg the world health organization (WHO). It may even be a not so liked central figure. Have you planned for emergency situations or shortages? The full moon brings to light shortcomings in our emergency plans.

The moon is trine to Pluto and the North Node and the Sun sextile to Pluto and the North Node. This is called a kite. The energy gives us the motivation to transform the structures of our lives and will help to point us in a new direction.

Mercury, the ruler of the moon is in Pisces, conjunct Jupiter and Neptune, and sextile Uranus in Taurus gives us the ability to use our imagination, intuition, and our connection with the divine to help us.

Divine inspiration is possible.

Happy Full Moon!

Leo Full Moon – Feb 16, 2022

The Full Moon on Feb 16th is at 27 degrees of Leo. This Full Moon is asking us to bring to culmination an area of our lives calling for leadership. As always the moon is opposite the sun at the full moon.

With the moon is asteroid Requiem and trans-pluto Isis. Requiem represents loss and death Isis is known as the goddess of death, healing and rebirth. These two with the moon illuminate the cycle of life. Requiem helps us focus on the loss part of Isis’ cycle. What are we mourning? What remains? In honouring loss, we create fertile ground for the next cycle.

Damocles is with the sun opposite the moon. Damocles conjunct the sun speaks of assuming power that we may not be ready for. The story is that Damocles thinking he could do better than the king, takes over, but once sitting on the throne, he discovers a sword hovering over his head. Damocles finds himself in a dangerous situation and it’s more than he bargained for. Damocles with the sun opposite the moon warns us that we can quickly get out of our depth.

Imagine Queen Elizabeth’s coronation to the crown as a girl. The situation was brought on by the abdication of her uncle to the crown and the loss of her father. Called to leadership, facing loss, looking forward to something new and completely out of her depth! That is the energy of this full moon.

All of this energy with the full moon is squaring the nodes at 27 degrees Taurus and Scorpio. The nodes bring in an element of Karma and destiny. The north node is calling us towards a grounded, value-driven approach. It calls on us to take our time and to be guided by the elementals. It asks us to commune with the trees, to pause and smell the roses as we contemplate our approach. As we take this approach to leadership, we are guided by love. The north node in Taurus is ruled by Venus and Venus is love!

At the south node is Scorpio ruled by Mars. Scorpio is a fight, maybe a nasty one, and to the bitter end. With Mars ruling the south node, we are asked to stay out of war and leave behind drama and entanglements.

There is another aspect that brings Karma. Mars the masculine planet and Venus the feminine planet are conjunct, exactly, in the karmic sign of Capricorn. How do these two planets get along when they come together? As these masculine and feminine energies come together, do they make love or war? Are they co-dependent or interdependent? Are they coming from a patriarchal masculine and feminine? Or is the masculine and feminine renaissance? Because they are in Capricorn, anything that comes our way will shine a light on how evolved we are. Remember the words “Oh what a web we weave”. Stay out of entanglements even if they are tempting. Stay centered in your heart. With the Full Moon squaring the nodes and the rulers of those nodes being Venus and Mars, we are at a crossroads. But we get an opportunity at this full moon to “do it right”.

Happy Leo Full Moon!

Aquarius New Moon – Feb 1, 2022

New Moon Feb 1, 2022

The New Moon on February 1st is at 12 degrees of Aquarius. It is conjunct Saturn and squaring Uranus. Saturn and Uranus are now moving away from their year-long 2021 square with each other. This new moon brings this energy into focus. This energy brought a fight between government, structure, old systems, and Uranus’s need for change, revolt, disruption. Saturn is cold and contracting. Uranus is excitable and electric. This clash saw governments impose mandates, one fixed solution (Aquarius is a fixed sign) in the vaccine a new and innovative solution (also Aquarius). It saw a move to QR codes, passports, and the focus on the group (Aquarius) over the individual. This clashed with Uranus in Taurus, which rules the five senses, things that are tangible, reliable, and predictable. It rules plants and gardens, as well as money. Finally, it rules all things of worth, including ourselves. The push triggered the buttons of those who care what they put in their bodies, who rely on alternative health, who distrust the government, and who believe money is behind all motivations. The result was a split society! Those behind the government and those fighting it.

Because it is an Aquarius new moon we have the chance to set new intentions around this energy. Do you want to form a new group? Do you want to spread love and peace? Do you want to innovate?

The asteroids Astraea and Diana are also conjunct this new moon. Diana symbolizes freedom. She is the goddess of the hunt. She represents strong feminine warrior energy. Astraea, represents moral values, reasoning, and good judgment. This new moon will be a good time to defend our freedoms and fight for what we believe in, but with a feminine warrior approach. Think of Moana restoring the heart in the movie Moana. Something new wants to come in. We are done with the Saturn Uranus fight… what do we now want? Use this new moon energy to set intentions for the coming age of Aquarius… how do you imagine it?

Happy New Moon!
