Art Appreciation

What to expect: Expressions of Art
What to watch out for: Hiding our brilliance
What will it affect? Artistic expression, Communication

On January 23 get out your lyre and makes some music. The energy lends itself to visionary and artistic expression. Colour, form, line, shape, space, texture and especially value all become important now. We know our art may be good, but not all good art attains value. This is because we are often told what to value instead of allowing what is truly valuable to emerge. Not only that, we may hide our art falsely labeling it ourselves as not valuable. Now is the time to let your art shine!

Raw Passionate Emotion

What to expect: Powerful goddess Kali energy
What to watch out for: Dis-empowered view points
What will it affect? Feminine Energy, Feminine Power

During the entire week we merge into a dance with Mars, Vesta and Lilith in a water grand trine of emotion. This energy pulls us inward and deep into our motivations and raw emotions. Our commitment issues come up again. We want a partnership that fosters freedom and independence and the anger around any inability to achieve this lights a flame of indignation. If we recognize it clearly, we’ll realize that it’s a flame of feminine power and passion which can be positively directed. Venus is also conjunct Chiron in Pisces, allowing us to go deep spiritually and heal our love wounds. By Jan 25 we start to feel the love again as marriage asteroid Juno makes a trine to nurturing Ceres. We are getting there and can now taste how good it feels to find a balance between independence and feeling close and nurtured. It been a long time coming.

A Weird Science New Moon

What to expect: The unexpected
What to watch out for: Loneliness
What will it affect? Intentions, directions, relationships

Knowledge is limited, imagination encircles the world – Albert Einstein

How many have you have wondered over the last couple of months if we skipped to a different universe? A different time-line? Are we are in some parallel universe where all the opposite to what we thought should be happening, is happening? Though Albert Einstein’s theories evade most of us, his theory of relativity, evolved to theory of time and quantum mechanics, then quantum entanglement and eventually his “Spooky-action-at-a-distance” theory. When you start to examine his theories, you get a weird sense of time, the spiritual, the psychic, the past and the future. It seem sci fi and impossible. But quickly we are coming to terms with the idea through science that the spiritual and the material are not separate. The New Moon on Jan 27th is at 8 degrees of weird science Aquarius. Although the moon is making no major aspects, it provides an opportunity to be emotionally distant, unconventional and innovative. And it will help us to incorporate some of this spooky-at-a-distance thinking into our intentions. If you don’t like the time-line your on, you can clarify your intentions to affect what is happening on the level, and universe you’re in. Or just skip to a whole new one… the Aquarius new moon will help to allow you to entertain the possibility.

On the same day Venus will square Saturn and we may feel lonely and on the outside. Venus in Pisces wants to merge and feel one with the universe, their partner and with love, yet something is preventing it. Likely the source of this loneliness comes from within so it’s a good time for soul searching to examine where we are disconnected with ourselves. In truth we can never be separate. We can use this new moon to set intention that will surprise us with their outcome. The trick is to suspend our belief that we and all things are separate. The trick is to have faith! Mars also enters into Aries igniting our ability to enter bravely into unexplored territory.

Confrontations

What to expect: Confrontations
What to watch out for: The need for self esteem
What will it affect? Authority, wounds, patterns, inner power

By Jan 16, new patterns come into our awareness. Mars conjuncts Chiron and we may face a confrontation that brings in hard to face issues. This may come across as criticism and likely from someone in authority and will build between the 16 and 19th when mars will square Saturn. We feel thwarted and frustrated. It not only brings up personal wounds but societal wounds as well. We have to stand up to those in authority and to fight for what is right and when we do, we will find ourselves gaining self esteem and inner power. You don’t have to do it alone. Working with a counselor or coach is powerful now.

The Suffrage vs. Inauguration

What to expect: A new path
What to watch out for: The need for balance and fairness
What will it affect? Communication, commitments, Authority, Traditions

On January 17th the sun will oppose Vesta and we’ll feel a new sense of commitment to tradition and maybe even matriotism. Mercury in Capricorn is thinking carefully about the credibility of those in authority and is mobilizing to move forward with a new path. As it makes a trine to the North Node it puts together plans and get’s into the detail of what that new path will look like. The sun then moves into Aquarius on the 19th and we are ready for change and progress. By the 20th mercury will sextile pallas, weaving in a much needed and important spiritual touch to our plans. Money is the last ingredient to our alchemical mixture. As we put our money and resources into the mix, we not only experience transformation we experience the golden touch. Venus will sextile Pluto and we feel our passion increase to this new direction. There is a lot of energy in the mix and passion also may clash with our need for nurtance and tender loving care. Balance and fairness is the way through.

Commitment Issues

What to expect: Restructuring
What to watch out for: Need for Freedom
What will it affect? Values, Faith, Beliefs, Relationships

From Jan 9 – 10, Saturn and Juno will met up in Sagittarius bringing up insecurities about what we believe in relationships. The “Wait till your father get’s home” leave it to beaver attitude is now far in the past. But what do we now believe about marriage, partnerships, roles and family? Sagittarius is often called the eternal bachelor. Sagittarius love’s adventure and abhors tedium and in a relationship that converts to commitment issues. But now is the time when we’ll collectively need to work on those commitment issues – Saturn will make sure of it. Luckily Juno and Saturn will get some help from Jupiter in the relationship sign of Libra. Libra love to help balance things out and will lend its energy to expansive Libra to help the process along. I’m not saying it will be comfortable though.

At the same time the Sun in Capricorn will square Uranus urging us to break free and throw off unnecessary structures. Sometimes this energy can be a bit careless or ruthless, but with mars now sextile to Pluto, we can go about this transformation in a deliberate and positive manner.

Pride before a Fall

What to expect: Lessons

What will it affect? Relationships, Wounds, Ego’s

As we move towards the Full Moon we get a chance to get some last minute details worked out after a seeming breakdown. The Sun will square Jupiter and sextile Chiron. This could leading to some over the top behaviour stemming from ego, over-confidence or inappropriately directed high optimism. It’s a pride before the fall aspect. If we do fall, it should help to deepen our spiritual understanding and bring about healing. It’s always about the lessons!

Full Moon in Cancer

What to expect: Culmination and integration
What to watch out for: Explosive energy
What will it affect? Relationships, Family, Traditions

The Full Moon happens on Jan 12th at 22 degree’s Cancer. This Full Moon is on the Cancer/Capricorn access – Mother/Father. Tension formed from the redefinition around partnership relationships earlier this week. It’s like we are in a whole new land, but one that is familiar. It’s as though we have gotten on a plane and traveled to visit the pyramids or something similarly exotic and never before seen in a far distant land, only to discover that our spirit feels at home. The moon is in Cancer and is mother energy. Without realizing it we have been called back to this place to put together the pieces and nurture new understanding. As we take this pilgrimage, we go back in our being to tradition and piece together, remember, integrate and bring a whole new understanding to something long forgotten. The mother energy is also building towards a square off with Uranus and Ceres. This brings in anger and destructive energy, all done with an element of care and concern. We are cutting loose our children or inner children to stand on their own and find their own strength. If we don’t do it, we know they will never learn.
At the same time mercury moves back into Capricorn. We can move forward with any new structures we’ve planned and speak with a new sense of authority. We can do it. We’ve got this!

Venus and Neptune also come together in a conjunction at the New Moon. This is deeply spiritual love and some of us may have the distinct feeling that our Angels and guides and connecting with us on an even deeper level. You may feel the sweetness of your twin flame. This is a cosmic love, spiritual love, a universal love. We are deeply supported and loved and we feel it. Even if we can’t explain it!
