Full moon in Leo
The full moon in Leo is on January 25. Leo is about creativity, fun, children, our inner child and self-expression.
The Moon is opposite the Sun, which is still conjunct pluto. We see glimpses of the transformation that is yet to come. A.I., our rights and freedoms, our role in the collective, and our relationship with energy including the energy of spirit are all set to transform. We may feel intimidated, or even frightened by the changes that we see on the horizon. We are bringing something to culmination so that we can step into that transformative future. At this full moon we need to accept that a part of our self expression needs to die. This is not a bad thing. One door needs to shut before we can enter the next. Draw ceremony to give honour to this aspect of ourselves.
The moon is square Jupiter in Taurus, so we are needing to be careful that we do not overextend ourselves or go over the top. This includes tempering our emotions and celebrations. It won’t be the worst if you do. You just might face an embarrassing moment or an emotional hangover.
The full moon is conjunct to asteroids, Memoria and Cyllarus
Cyllarus seems to signify pride in oneself; your identity or background, which can be good or bad, depending on how express it. For instance, if you think that you are better than others because of your upbringing or pedigree, you will come across as boastful, and egotistical and that is not positive, however, if you have pride in who you are in terms of your person development or even performance, that can be the meeting ground for celebration and community.
With Memoria, related to memories, also with the moon, We are looking back and remembering where we were, and how far we’ve come. We might spend time looking at old pictures, or re-reading things we have written, or reviewing project we started long ago. Our first blog post or those the pre workout journey photos. Take pride in how far you have come. Take pride, yet be humble. We have reached maturity or mastery and for that we can be proud.
The Sabian symbol for this new moon is an old fashion woman and an up-to-date girl. There is a part of us that is appreciating what has stood the test of time, what has brought us wisdom and experience, but we are also ready for fresh new energy.
Happy Full Moon in Leo!
