April Horoscope 2016

25698214_sBeginning: April 1 – 10

Healed, we become the healers

What to expect: Feeling cared for.

What to watch out for: Becoming absorbed in our work.

What will it affect? Relationships, communication, and our visions and passions.

We are able to connect with our loved ones in a deeply nurturing and unconditional way during the first couple of days of April. Venus is in Pisces, helping us to connect with the collective. It is also conjunct Ceres, making us feel as though we are held in the embrace of God. This nurturance is likely needed after the eclipses in March; we are feeling a little bruised and bumped, so the compassionate energy feels welcome.

Feeling filled up and cared for allows us to connect with and take advantage of the other available energy around us. On the 2nd, Mercury is sextile Pallas which helps us to see the patterns of everything that’s been happening within the last couple of weeks – not just on the psychological level, but also in a way that allows us to act positively on our wounds. We can write plans and actions that share our lessons. Though this energy has been painful, we are able to make conclusions quickly and translate them into action. Even if we did feel taken out, we now have the energy to get back up and make something useful. Once we get into action, we may get very lost in the work that we are doing as we feel so connected to it. This process also helps us to disconnect from any of the disappointments that we may have experienced in the last little while.

Why? Venus conjunct Ceres, Mercury sextile Pallas, and Neptune sextile Vesta.

Tending your passions and your partner

What to expect: Feeling on fire.

What to watch out for: Neglecting our loved ones.

What will it affect? Relationships, our sense of self, passions, and work.

The energy shifts a little bit during this week. Mercury goes into Taurus slowing down our thinking and helping us to consider our steps. It also help us to take a look at our contracts and things that we are getting involved with in terms of money. We will have a chance to go over this again and this will be somewhat of a slow and arduous process because mercury will go retrograde at the end of the month in Taurus. This is combined with Venus going into Aries. Venus is the money sign and in Aries it tends to make us a little bit rash with our money. So this month our minds are in conflict with our values. By the end of the month, we will definitely need the Mercury retrograde to help us review.

On April 5th, we will feel so in our groove and connected to what we’re doing that it gives us a sense of accomplishment. We will begin seeing rewards for what we have undertaken. On the 5th, we may also feel conflicted in our relationships. The problem will be that we feel so entrenched in our work that it may bring up issues with our partners. They may feel jealous of our work and the attention we are giving it. This problem could also work the other way around and we may feel neglected by our partners. The best way to deal with this energy is to find ways to fill yourself up. If you feel jealous of their passion, it’s just a sign that you’ve been neglecting your own passions.

By the 6th, when the Sun is square to Pluto, we may get into some power struggles to incorporate our work, passions, relationships, and commitments to ourselves. There is a nice little book called Succulent, Wild Love; Six Powerful Habits for Feeling More Love, More Often that just might help.

Why? Sun sextile Saturn, Mercury entering Taurus, Venus entering Aries, Vesta opposite Transiting Juno, and Sun square Pluto

New Moon in Aries

What to expect: Breaking free.

What to watch out for: Positive but scary feelings.

What will it affect? Outdated habits and our path.

The New Moon on April 7th is in Aries. At this New Moon, we are breaking free of the past in a very dramatic way. We have created new neural pathways as we move forward in our lives and, even if we were to travel down the old neural pathways, we’d find that the tracks have been broken. The good news is that breaking free will be easy for us. Like the Fool in the Tarot, we are setting off on a new adventure and on a new path. Yet there is nothing foolish in our direction as Saturn will anchor us. If we’ve been off the right path, this New Moon is an opportunity to correct our course.

Why? New Moon conjunct Uranus and trine Saturn square Pluto.

Soul Mate Connections

What to expect: Soul satisfaction.

What to watch out for: Trying to make it more than it is… just enjoy!

What will it affect? Relationships, learning, and teaching.

On April 10th, we will have the opportunity to connect with our soulmates in a deep and satisfying way. Relationships take on a transcendent quality. Our soulmates are not just romantic – they can be business or platonic soulmates. These are relationships that feel familiar, inspire our growth, and can be deeply enjoyable. Some energies are just to be enjoyed and this is one of them.

Also on the 10thJupiter will connect with Vesta. Now is a great time to seek out advice from experts or to get busy. We will feel dedicated to improving whatever situation that we are in and those with whom we interact will also feel that dedication. They will have our best interest at heart– and in fact, these connections may just be that soulmate connection that mentioned above.

Why?Jupiter trine Vesta and Neptune trine Juno.

16924588_sSecond Week – April 11 – 17

Practical Magic

What to expect: A focus on communication.

What to watch out for: Forgetting to share our insights.

What will it affect? Communication, work, and vision.

During the second week of April, we begin an earthy, grounded dance as the planets begin to move in a grand trine in Earth signs. We will be able to focus on practical matters, but we will also be able to dive inward in order to unearth our inner workings. Now would be a good time to work with a coach or anyone else that will help you to dive into your psyche. It’s also a good time to touch on subjects related to money and materialistic or practical concerns and the structures that we have built around them. We can learn a great deal about ourselves and the path we should be taking.

Mercury is the highlight of the week.

Again on April 11th, we will be so engrossed in what we are doing that it will be difficult for our partners to get our attention. If we do engage in conversations with our partners, we may feel resentful or even resistant to what’s being said. Truthfully, our minds are elsewhere. If you are looking for the right time to bring up a touchy subject with your partners, it is not now.

We are so engrossed in our imaginations by the 12th that we are able envision the fine details of whatever we want to create. Now is a great time to get our magazines and to cut and paste and create or upgrade your vision board. You may have new information at this time that needs to be spattered all over a canvas as you’re encountering new colors and textures.

On April 14th, you may be involved in some form of learning or teaching. Taking a course or providing a course is a great way to use this energy.

On April 16th,Mercury and Vesta come together in a conjunction. You may find yourself like Chancey Gardner from the movie Being There -using garden metaphors to explain the way we see every philosophy, action, and political motivation. Whatever it is, it’s simple but profound. We will be able to share and explain our views to others in simple but powerful ways.

We have the opportunity to influence others through our speech or writing on the 17th, providing surprising details and a methodical approach that will impress.

Why? Mercury opposite Juno, Mercury sextile transiting Neptune, Mercury trine transiting Jupiter, Mercury conjunction transiting Vesta, and Mercury trine transiting Pluto.

Mars Goes Retrograde

What to expect: Our energy slowing down and turning inward.

What to watch out for: Feeling irritated at having to slow down.

What will it affect? Travel, all actions, legal issues, and belief systems.

There’s another energy that will be happening in parallel. It centers around our freedom of thought, action, and speech.

On April 12th, we will be very interested in getting our needs met. By the 14th, when Ceres goes into Aries, we may become very aggressive about our needs. Then on April 17th, Mars goes retrograde. Mars is our drive. It’s the creative force of our spirit and it directs our will. Get in its way and it’s fiery, passionate, and angry. If you feel confined this week, you may find yourself muttering the words from the movie Dirty Dancing:”Nobody puts baby in a corner.”You won’t be happy if anyone tries to get in your way as you explore.

When Mars goes retrograde, it’s time to pull back your troops, regain strength, and re-consider you strategy. It is not a time to engage in any type of warfare or competition. Refrain from legal battles and lay low on the competition with your business competitors. On the same day Pluto will be trine to Vesta, so we will be intensely wrapped up in our passions and may have difficulty seeing past our own positions.

Instead, imagine that you are planning to climb Mount Everest. On the path to your summit, you have seen the beautiful mountains, the blue sky, and you endeavoured to take on risk and adventure. But anyone who has climbed Mount Everest knows that it’s a process. You have to acclimatize which means you go up and down the mountain, taking rests and allowing for your body to adjust. Then and only then do you attempt to summit. Those who go full speed ahead, feeling that they can concur the elements without this process, find themselves very sick. Mars retrograde is the time to continue your adventure but to do so at basecamp. Mars will continue its retrograde motion until the end of June.

Why? Venus trine transiting Mars, Ceres entering Aries, Pluto trine transiting, and Vesta-Mars retrograde.

8078157_sThird Week – April 18 – 24

Structural Adjustment

What to expect: Clarity on money and relationship issues.

What to watch out for: Breakdowns.

What will it affect? Relationships, money, business, and structures.

On April 18th, we are able to assess our partnerships and our financial obligations. These two are now in fire signs and, though we will have a certain amount of groundedness in our assessment, we will be able to take risks, be creative, and to have a considerable amount of energy to move it forward.

The next day, we all feel connected to our path and to the people surrounding our path even though power struggles may arise within our relationships and in relation to money. It could involve a breakdown. Sometimes breakdowns happen for very good reasons – so that we can tear down and re-build stronger, for example. As the Sun moves into Taurus, we will feel a certain consolidated committed action to who we are and what we are doing.

Why? Venus square Pluto, Venus trine transiting Saturn, Mercury trine transiting North Node, and Venus square transiting Pluto.

Full Moon at 2°Sc30′ – April 22nd

What to expect: Culminations.

What to watch out for: Inner conflicts.

What will it affect? Relationships and our directions.

The Full Moon on April 22nd is in Scorpio. The theme of the Full Moon is around our contradictory nature when it comes to the need for freedom. We may be making loud declarations of our independence, but deep inside we feel burned that someone who we didn’t want to be with is happy with someone else. I know, it doesn’t make sense. We know it’s over. We know it doesn’t work. But we still feel jealous and controlling. These feelings may show up in a personal relationship, but just as easily in a collaboration gone wrong. The truth is that we are feeling a pressure to cling to old ways and attachments that calls for adjustment – it’s uncomfortable for us. The good news is that the Full Moon will bring up any attachments that we have for their eventual release. The Full Moon is a culmination and it is the time to let things go. A great way to do so is to hold a Full Moon releasing ceremony. The Full Moon is in a water element, so make sure to include that element in your ceremony. Bath and let it wash away. You could also symbolically send your attachments down the river!

Why? Full Moon, Venus conjunct Uranus, and Vesta trine transiting North Node.

45897545_sFourth Week – April 25 – May 1

Perfecting your processes

What to expect: Initial disorientation.

What to watch out for: Not using the energy fully.

What will it affect? Communication, finances, and processes.

Mercury goes into retrograde during the last week of April, on the 26th. Mercury is in Taurus so this is a time when we will be evaluating all of our communications with respect to all things Taurus. You may have committed to a direction over the last couple of weeks that will need review. It may be your communications, it may be a financial commitment, or maybe you’re renegotiating contracts and agreements. It is not the time to begin new contracts or to sign new agreements, but it is a good time for review. The challenge will be to allow ourselves to do so. Taurus is a fixed sign, so it tends to be stubborn – it doesn’t really enjoy the process of having to change directions or re-evaluate things. Generally, Taurus has already made up its mind. Allowing yourself to go there will be hugely rewarding. Mercury will also be holding hands with Pluto and Jupiter. At the beginning of the month, these planets were all dancing together and spinning clockwise motion. Now all three are retrograde and have changed directions, spinning counter clockwise. If you’ve ever held hands to spin in a circle and then were asked to change directions, you know how disorienting it can be in the beginning. Don’t despair. Keep going and you will find your flow. It’s a good idea to remind yourself of the lessons that you learned from the eclipses in March. Go back and review the healing that has occurred. We gave birth to something in March and in April we are quickly forgetting about the pain. We’re not quite ready to move forward though. This energy is an incredible review of the directions that we have planned, the strategy that we put together, and the leadership skills that we have amassed.

A great way to use this energy would be to create a tome, pull together all your processes into a procedural manual, and dust off you copy of the E-myth. Think of it this way: if you wanted to ditch the whole thing and go off travelling for a year, would your business still be able to run? You might need to hire some people to take over, but could they? Now is the time to pull together your finely tuned engine.

Why? Mercury Retrograde, Mercury trine Jupiter, and trine Pluto.

Take a step back

What to expect: An opportunity to set back.

What to watch out for: Getting lost in the details.

What will it affect? Work, finances, and relationships.

Venus will go into Taurus on April 29th, helping us to clarify our values and invest wisely. With all of this Earth energy, we may get lost in the final details and end up spinning our wheels. But on April 30th, Venus will get some help from Pallas, allowing us to see the big picture. It’s a good idea to take the time on that day to stand back and look at your handiwork.

Why?Venus entering Taurus and Venus sextile transiting Pallas.

5 Tips for a Healthy Perspective on Astrology

9873236_mHave you ever felt exhausted listening to everyone blame Mercury retrograde, a solar eclipse, or the super-moons for everything? Does all the talk of moons and the frenzy around the planets give you angst or annoy you?

With solar and lunar eclipses coming up in March, then both Mars and Mercury retrograde in April, you may get tired of all of talk about all the difficult astrological energy coming our way. You might start to feel like reading any of this stuff will control your fate.

Well the truth is, everything depends on how you’re looking at it. Astrology has a lot to offer in terms of planning for your life and, if you are unsure of how to really view it, you may avoid it and miss out on the powerful ways in which it can be used.

So here are my 5 tips for a healthy perspective on astrology:

1.       View astrology like a weather report.

In 1988, there was a hurricane in Jamaica.  The weather was already picking up. I was 18 at the time and standing on the corner (as we did for hours on end) with my teenage crew. I made the comment, “It feels like there’s going to be a hurricane.” My teenage crew laughed at me. Days later it happened, but by then I had flown out, back to Canada.

I called down to get the blow by blow. As it turns out, my father had taken steps to prepare. He got a generator and some gas. He cooked some food and put it in a cooler with ice. Then he sealed up the house. When the hurricane came, terrifying as it was, he stayed near the windows, playing with the shutters, moving them in different directions to help relieve the pressure that was building in the house.

The next day he had light, food, and a roof still in tack.

This was NOT the case for most of the neighbours.

As the days went by without electricity and the proper supplies, it was not surprising that more and more neighbours made friends with him! Asking to have a shower or borrow some ice and so on.

They had not paid attention to the weather to prepare – or if they did prepare, they did not prepare well.

Now, you don’t have to follow astrology. Some people never watch the weather. But following astrology can really help you to know what’s coming and to prepare, much like watching a weather report.

An astrological forecast  let’s you know what energy is going to be at play.

2.       Prepare by getting skills , knowledge, and taking action.

Taking my weather forecast comparison further, If you knew there was going to be inclement weather, a storm or even a hurricane, what would you do? You would likely get the knowledge and skill needed to prepare and protect yourself.  How do I secure my homestead? How do I make sure I have emergency supplies? Once in the situation, how do I manage my fear? Protect myself and my family? Keep my dog safe?

Getting skills to deal with what’s coming is not within the power of astrology. It’s in your power.  But having the knowledge that something is coming gives you some idea of what you might need to do to prepare.

3.       Assess what you can and can’t control.

Your perspective on astrology is really important here. In Mesopotamian (current day Iran, Syria, and Quait) times, astrology was used to advise the King. Though the king’s advisers watched the planets and stars, the focus of decisions was made internally from free will and choice. By Greek times, astrology had become fatalistic, externalized to the gods and the Fates. Astrologists and those who followed the planets and stars believed it was out of their control.  In today’s times, we are stuck between the two beliefs.

Long story short, you need to determine how much of life you believe is within your control and how much you are a fatalist.

4.       Manage your perceptions.

Back to the weather analogy…. When the weatherperson announces that there is going to be a hurricane or the possibility of bad weather, most people don’t run around hysterically wondering why. ? They don’t get all insecure and feel like mother nature is out to get them personally.  They don’t lie down in absolute terror, afraid to face their “Fate,”  The Serenity Prayer is needed here. The purpose of the Serenity Prayer is not just to help us keep our cool, but it also encourages us to think calmly about what we can control, such as how to prepare or how to move with and utilize the elements.

It’s important to realize that good and bad things will happen in life – we can’t avoid that. When we know hard times are coming, It’s also easy to expect the worst. Some people may lose property, get hurt, or even lose their dog in a hurricane. But it’s not a given and the likelihood of bad events is even less if we have prepared.

5.       Pray and send out our intentions

The next big hurricane in Jamaica came in 2004. When I turned on the TV here in North America, it looked bad. I mean really bad. They showed the direction of the hurricane and clips of the Prime Minister say “May God save us all.” It was grim.

Now, I can’t prove this. It probably won’t hold up in court. But Jamaica has always been a praying nation. Jamaica has more churches per square feet that any other nation in the world. And it’s not just the churches; there are some prayers that come out of that nation by the old church-going men and women that can move mountains. I wasn’t surprised when hurricane Ivan suddenly and spectacularly changed directions and the direct hit to the island was not made.

Just listen to Jim Carey’s words on the Power of setting intentions, or read about the studies on water with Dr Masaro Emoto  and this idea doesn’t seem so far-fetched. To me, this is the power of our prayer, thoughts,  and our intentions!

March Horoscope 2016

7224355_sFirst Week – Feb 29th – March 6th

Fresh Inspiration

What to expect: Restlessness
What to watch out for: Unrealistic expectation
What will it affect? Relationships

Let me start by saying that the trick to getting through March, both professionally and personally, is to lay low. It is an eclipse month — solar and lunar eclipses tend to cause direction changes and they bring things to light. March is a month of responding rather than taking action.

On March 2nd, we may flirt with the idea of taking a break from our partnerships. We may be tired of the same old struggle. We can connect with people who are a breath of fresh air and help us with fresh thinking. But just remember people come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. At this time, it’s definitely ‘a reason’.

Why? Venus sextile Uranus and Juno retrograde.

Reading the Labels on Our Roles

What to expect: Uncovering our needs
What to watch out for: Over-identifying with roles
What will it affect? Relationships, nurturance needs

We are still very focused on our health, our spiritual growth, and our nurturance needs in March. Vulnerability comes up a lot and the things that must be purged and cleansed come into focus. We are reminded of this between the 3rd – 5th when the Sun connects us to our nurturance needs. Are we identifying with a role that seems nurturing but is actually detrimental? Are we giving without receiving? We have an opportunity during the first week of March to connect with others and to develop fulfilling, harmonious connections that are truly nurturing.

Why? Sun conjunct Ceres and Sun trine Juno.

Buttons and Triggers

What to expect: New emergence
What to watch out for: Clinging
What will it affect? Conflict or potential conflict

On March 5th,Mercury will be at the last degree of Aquarius and will square Mars at the last degree of Scorpio. This is a day when our buttons will be pushed. We’ll easily unravel into lower consciousness with just a simple comment or action — especially ones that faultlessly touch our triggers. Yet this is a time when we can tap into our leadership and the tools we have learned on the way to higher levels of consciousness. We can step back to allow whatever childish behaviour or tantrums that need to take place. We are not acting superior here; we are just enacting our adult centre. An emergence into a new reality is happening and those who don’t want to grow into this new reality will feel the need to clip our wings. They will try anything to keep us back, including temper tantrums. Remember, if a child is having a tantrum, the more you try to talk to them rationally the worse it gets. And, unless and until they start hitting you, you can allow the arms to flay and the rolling around on the floor. Their drama is not really affecting you. By the end of it, if you’ve not been pulled in, you will have strong wings ready to fly off into new adventures. And they will have let out their emotions – so all will be good…. at least until Mars goes retrograde!

Mars moves into Sagittarius on March 5th. There are a couple of important things to note about this. The first is that Mars is now in its shadow zone. In the next month, Mars will go retrograde. During Mars’ retrograde, hold off on all legal action. Disputes will rise and the reality of loss will feel real. While Mars is in Sagittarius, it will be energetic, adventurous, and slightly tactless. When Mars starts its backward move, it will go back into Scorpio where it will have a tendency to be strong and wrong. So if things fly out of our mouths that are on the offensive or judgmental side in March, it will hard not to want to want to fight it to the bitter end when Mars moves back into Scorpio. Remember the movie ‘Black Hawk Down?’ We can be so sure that it’s no big deal. We can hold strong to ideals and ideologies, saying,“We’re gonna win this thing.” Then suddenly we could find ourselves in a mess and unable to quit because we’ve told ourselves and convinced others that “nobody gets left behind.” The trick to getting through this time is to lay low, hold your tongue, and delay your actions. If you do find yourself embroiled in a battle next month, do constant check-ins on the cost of your beliefs and know when to admit you made a mistake. I’ll talk more about this next month when it comes, but here I am just giving you a heads up!

Why? Mercury square Mars, Mercury moves into Pisces, and Mars moves into Sagittarius.

Managing our Responsibilities to Others

What to expect: Requests for compromise
What to watch out for: Over-giving or under-giving
What will it affect? Self expression, Sense of Self

There is an opportunity on March 6th for transformation through our partnerships. There is a sense that something is being challenged or blocked in our self expression which may be related to our spirituality. Maybe there is a selflessness that is being asked of you that challenges your sense of individuality and feels restricting. The question at this time will be how to give to others while also maintaining what we need. If we work together, we can find a way to get there.

Why? Sun square Saturn and Sun sextile Pluto.

14472647_sSecond Week – March 7th – 13th

New Moon Solar Eclipse – Graduation!

What to expect: Commencement
What to watch out for: Fear
What will it affect? All that we have been learning

On March 8th we have a New Moon solar eclipse in Pisces. Something or someone leaves us at this time. Along the path to this time, the elders will have realized that their days on this earth are numbered. And becase of this, their job was to teach and to pass on the knowledge. In the eternal search for youth, they may have had difficulty letting go of the reigns. Not only that, but their students may surpass them in genius and so ego may have interrupted the passing of the baton. If they did their job correctly, they will have taught well and will leave with a deep sense of pride that their student now has the tools to become the next excellent elder.

Along this path, the student will have realized that they did not have all the answers. They may have felt frustrated that they had to do grunt work. Though they may have had a sense of their genius and felt above the idea of paying their dues, their humble and diligent approach will now earn them a title, metal, or award.

This eclipse will reveal how we have taught or what we learned. We are now reaching a new level of discipline, spiritual practice, or level of spirit.

Why? New Moon at 18°Pi55′

Inner Processing

What to expect: Processing information
What to watch out for: Thinking others process the same way you do
What will it affect? How we are nurtured, how we process

In the days following the eclipse, many spiritual truths will emerge. There is structure in creation. If we look at the Mandela, sacred geometry, or musical composition, we see patterns and structure implicit in beauty. This is a time when we can merge metrics with spirit to find answers. We may feel austere with ourselves or others — maybe others will act that way toward us. Just remember that, as we all move through emotions, our needs and ways of grieving differs.. Some of us need to be left alone, while others have a clinging-return-to-mother’s-hem need, and the two can clash. Asking for what we need and giving what others need is ideal right now.

Why? Saturn sextile Pallas and Saturn square Ceres.

Connecting with Spirit

What to expect: Spiritual experiences
What to watch out for: Becoming ungrounded
What will it affect? Our purpose and direction

On March 10th the Sun will meet up with Chiron. We may reach the other side of our emotions and feel a renewed sense of purpose. The Sun will also be at the South Node, so we will now see that what has gone needed to go and feel good about its departure. Mercury will also conjunct Neptune, bringing in higher awareness and spiritual transcendence. By the 12th Venus will join the rest of the planets in Pisces to bring in universal love. If we have felt lost, we now have the opportunity to connect with inspiration, vision, and heavenly support. We may be pulled into intense spiritual experiences. The tendency will be to become ungrounded.

Why? Sun conj Chiron, Sun opp North Node, and Mercury con Neptune.

Processing Emotions

What to expect: Intense emotions
What to watch out for: Trying to control
What will it affect? Relationships, our needs

On the 13th/14th, our need for connection and spiritual nourishment will be high. We have a window that will allow us to tune into other people’s thoughts intuitively and to talk things out. We may move quickly into base or raw emotion and the trick to finding nourishment in this situation lies within our ability to connect while simultaneously letting go.

Why? Pluto Sextile Ceres, Mercury Trine Juno, and Jupiter Opposition Ceres.

28107221_sThird Week – March 14th – 20th

Need for Pause

What to expect: Questioning ourselves
What to watch out for: Rashness
What will it affect? Relationships, our passions, what we are committed to

On March 14th, Mercury is in Pisces which strongly connects us with our intuition. But as it squares Saturn, we start to question: “How do I know the difference between my intuition and my fear?” Pessimism can be strong and we can experience mental paralysis as we try to decipher how much we should trust ourselves. Someone may be leading us down the garden path. So single-minded and sure are they that even when your intuition sends you a signal, you may ignore it and get pulled in the wrong direction. We really do want to be committed to a cause at this time and the energy is such that our desires can be strong but still lead to rashness. In our haste, we don’t take the time to make sure it’s what’s good for us. For this reason, it’s also not a good time for a business launch or major business decisions. Our intuition and decision-making are off and it’s guaranteed that you will look back and say, “Why didn’t I follow my intuition?

Why? Mercury Square Transiting Saturn, Venus Sextile Transiting Vesta, and Venus Square Transiting Mars.

Inspiration and Excitement

What to expect: Powerful messages
What to watch out for: Missing details
What will it affect? Communication, Messages, Speeches

On the 15th, someone is coming across very powerfully — maybe it’s even you. Someone is picking up on the collective needs and is hitting the sweet spot. Maybe it’s a powerful speech that has you saying “TRUTH!” Inspiration is strong. Not only that, but we will also feel highly optimistic. The problem will be that we may be losing the trees for the forest. Details can be missed in our optimism. We can hear what we want to hear at this time. Feel the optimism, but remember that things might be overstated at this time.

Why? Mercury Sextile Pluto, Mercury Opposition Jupiter, and Mercury Conjunction Ceres.

Re-narrate the Story!

What to expect: Old stories resurfacing
What to watch out for: Holding on to old un-useful perspectives
What will it affect? Healing, Thoughts, Perspectives

We are still in the eclipse window. Eclipses happen most times in pairs. The eclipse window is the two weeks between the first eclipses and the second. During the eclipse window, information is coming to light. It’s generally not a time to take action, but rather to respond to things. Generally, lots of things will be happening without us needing to make things happen. This week in particular, lots will come to the surface. Mercury connecting with the wounded healer will bring a wound to the surface — or back to the surface! This combination is also connected to the South Node which has a tendency to bring up our past. We have two really good energy aspects that will help us to transform that pain. The first is Jupiter trine Pluto. This is powerful energy that will help us to unearth whatever is there, reorganize it, and reclassify it. A powerful technique in psychology, organizational psychology, and therapeutic realms is the narrative approach. In the narrative approach, we can take all of the facts and re-write the story. What really changes in the narrative approach is our perspective. We have an opportunity here to take what we find as ‘fact’ and re-tell the story. Make sure to include your wins, the strength that you received from it, and the lessons that you learned that now make you a more powerful person!

Why? Jupiter Trine Pluto, Mercury Conjunction Chiron, Mercury Opposition North Node, Uranus Sextile Transiting Pallas, and Chiron Opposition North Node.

43794055_sFourth week – March 21st- 27th

Lots of Energy and Ideas

What to expect: Feeling rearing to go
What to watch out for: Moving too fast
What will it affect? Dream, Visions, Ideas

The fourth week in March starts with a desire for freedom as the Sun is now in Aries. Venus also conjuncts Neptune on March 20th. It is an idealistic time, a time when we can enjoy big dreaming. Mercury will also go into Aries on March 21st, so we will be filled with ideas and chomp at the bit to go with them. We need to take our time though. The eclipse this week may bring up some new information that we need to consider.

Why? Venus Conjunction Neptune and Mercury Entering Aries

Full Moon – Eclipse at 3°Li17′

What to expect: Re-balancing and alignment
What to watch out for: Tactlessness
What will it affect? Relationships, our budgets

On March 23rd, the lunar eclipse will happen at 3 Libra. There is also a major energy configuration with Saturn and Jupiter. Saturn in Sagittarius is squaring Jupiter in Virgo. These two connecting in a square generally signal a change in the economy. Virgo likes to be frugal and Jupiter’s presence expands that need. Put it together with the fact that it’s now tax time and we know that something will come to light that may worry us. We may decide that we’ve spent too much in one area last year and we need a better budget.

Also, at this eclipse we are really connecting with our partnership goals. Are we on the same page? The need to get there is great at this time. The eclipse is connected with Mercury and Mars — if our inner equilibrium is off, we may act before with think even though we’re anxious to bring things back into inner balance. Venus is trine to Juno, the marriage asteroid, so I truly believe that we will make the effort to create harmony in our relationships and with our money. But if they are not working, we’ll also be quick to make adjustments. Honesty will be strong. In fact, we may be a little too honest!

Why? Full Moon at 3°Li17′, Sun Conjunction Mercury, Venus Trine Transiting Juno, Jupiter Square Transiting Saturn, and Mercury Trine Transiting Mars.

Taking the Big Leap!

What to expect: A decision
What to watch out for: Staying in your zone of competence
What will it affect? Relationships, money, new directions

On the 25th, we will struggle with the ‘should I stay or should I go?’ question. Should I stay in my job, relationship, circle of friends, money or other situation? Or do I risk taking a leap? We are doing a serious assessment at this time. On the heels of an eclipse, all decisions made will be final! If you want to make a big positive leap, check out Gay Hendrick’s ‘Big Leap!’

Why? Venus Opposition Jupiter and Venus Square Saturn.

Saturn Retrograde

What to expect: Relaxing and review on structures
What to watch out for: Avoiding reality
What will it affect? Structures, finances, beliefs

Saturn is going retrograde on March 25th. In business astrology, this is a time when we might loosen the grips on our financial structures. This situation is more likely if you’re the sort to deal with money situations by pretending it’s not happening. It’s a good idea to get your taxes done before the retrograde and, if you happen to have some trouble with spending, pull out your money tracker of your budget and have it within eye view for the next couple of months. Saturn retrograde is a time to review and since it’s in Sagittarius review your beliefs. Downturns in the economy don’t always affect everyone and likewise we may pretend that a downturn in the economy won’t affect us — when in fact, it will. Now is a time to assess what is really going on for you and the best way to approach it is with realism, not fear.

Why? Saturn retrograde.

Lots of Energy!

What to expect: Coming across strongly
What to watch out for: Not directing it
What will it affect? Projects, Relationships

On March 26th, we have a day when we can really express ourselves! We may come across a little strong. The sun in fiery Aries will connect with Mars in fiery Sagittarius. Wild horses won’t be able to hold us back. We may also come across in overwhelming (though likely inspirational) ways in our partnerships. Transmuting all this energy into creative projects is ideal!

Why? Sun Trine Mars and Venus Sextile Pluto.

Last week – March 28th – April 3rd

Need for Classy Candidness

What to expect: getting real
What to watch out for: Irresponsible or passive aggressive words
What will it affect? Relationships, Communication

During the last week of March, we enter into serious discussions with others. We may also become absorbed in our solitary projects. However we handle this energy, we will be communicating strongly. Venus is also opposite the North Node, so we may be ending a relationship or communicating in no uncertain terms what we need. Remember saying nothing is also communication. Just make sure that you really are communicating in a respectful manner. Our words are powerful, even if they are unsaid or we decide to go MIA. The trick is to let others down without tearing them down. There is likely to be a painful situation that emerges, and we are now being tested in how we handle situations when we are hurt. If you put your mind to it, you can find alternative and inventive ways to communicate. Check out Brene Brown’s ‘Rising Strong’ on tips to having courageous conversations.

Why? Mercury Trine Saturn, Venus Opposition North Node, Mercury Square Pluto, Venus Conjunction Chiron, and Mercury Conjunction Uranus.
