Outer planet transits are the backdrop/Theme to what is happening in our lives. Sometimes these transits just show up in culture or world news, but when they touch our personal planets, they affect us directly.
Saturn in Pisces (2023 – 2025) See post
Neptune in Pisces (2011 – 2026)
Neptune is ruled by Pisces and so it’s in its home sign for these 15 years. Neptune will make both positive and negative aspects during those 15 years. It’s two biggest relationships will be with Jupiter and Saturn.
Neptune will square Jupiter in 2012, opposed in 2015, square again in 2019, then conjunct in 2022, and finally square again in 2025. All happening in mutable signs. The first part ends on the synodic cycle and in 2022 another one begins.
The first three-quarters of the transit of Neptune in Pisces is characterized by the challenging aspects of Jupiter. Fog, dishonesty, lies, misinformation, dishonesty, disinformation, and outright deceit in areas ruled by Aquarius, (the sign the two were conjunct in 2009) mass media, commodities and futures, aerospace/defence, computers, satellites, and science and research. This is because at that conjunction Neptune, Jupiter, and Chiron were together at 26 degrees and squared Mercury in Taurus. We were misled about how secure, sustaining, or reliable (Taurus) these things were. With Chiron there, it set up a sense of dealing with past wounds by chasing unrealistic cures. Neptune then went into Pisces intensifying the deception to mind-bending levels with each square and opposition to Jupiter adding to the intensity. The lesson for us all was to go within and trust our own wisdom.
On January 3, 2021, we enter the balsamic phase of the cycle. This is a letting go stage where if lessons are not incorporated we go backward. If we have learned the lessons we let go of the drama of this cycle and start to formulate the seeds of the next cycle. When the next Neptune-Jupiter conjunction comes in 2022, the cycle will be far more positive. With both conjunct in Neptune and forming no difficult aspect. Jupiter and Neptune form angel wings with Pluto in Capricorn and the Nodes. Things represented by Pisces will provide great hope and inspiration; film, writing, charities, healthcare and healthcare information, drugs, sleep, and spiritual mysteries. The sextile to Pluto in Capricorn gives us access to transformation in structure.
Neptune in Aries (2026 – 2039)
In 2026 Neptune will enter Aries and the first thing it will do is conjunct Saturn in Aries at 0 degrees. This begins a transit of issues with identity – diffused, confused, lack of boundaries. The structure of our reality is changing. It’s an exploration of who we are, or, who we are now. It will last until 2039. This creative pioneering process will see us get lost at every turn.
At the moment much of the western world defines itself with what type of work they do. With growing robotics and AI taking over our work roles, our relevance in the world comes into question.
We may also merge with technology which also alters our identity. This may be actually merging with technology or just getting too lost in a technological universe that we lose track of what’s us and what’s not.
Pluto in Capricorn (2008 – 2023)
Pluto in Capricorn was characterized by the Cardinal Grand Cross of 2014 when Pluto, Uranus, Jupiter, and Mars all squared each other in cardinal signs and the Pluto/Saturn/Jupiter conjunction of 2020. These were very difficult transits for Pluto and represented changes in Capricorn-type structures; government, currency and financial services, corporations, and the status quo. It’s also interesting that Capricorn represents nursing homes and places or structures of business – two obvious hard-hit areas as a result of the conjunction of 2020.
Pluto in Aquarius (2023 – 2044)
The energy of Pluto in Aquarius brings destruction and transformation in technology (computers, Artificial intelligence), media (including social media), groups (humanitarian and political) networks, and innovations.
The first thing that will happen when Pluto enters Aquarius will be a square to the Nodes with Jupiter (and a stellium of planets) in Taurus at the North Node. This is the first quarter phase where the seeds planted at the conjunction of 2020 are moved into action. This is also an evolutionary turning point with Jupiter sitting at the north node. We can move into a technocracy or alternatively we can move into all that the “age of Aquarius” promised; the revelation of truth and expansion of consciousness.
Chiron in Aries (2018 – 2027)
Chiron in Aries brings about wounding in the area of identity. The themes are related to the cost of being true to oneself. Themes of sovereignty, relevance, and identity. Are we allowed to be who we are? How do we heal those wounds? This transit brings an opportunity for more wounding or healing of those wounds.
